Located in Augusta, Georgia near Fort Gordon U.S. Army Base, Max and his family have been in the Augusta area for over four generations. Gate 5’s focus has always been being a good neighbor and steward of the community.
250 Units and Growing
Starting in the self-storage industry in 2003, Max and his father Maxwell decided that they wanted to serve their community in a unique way, by building a self-storage facility to support the growing military community. Gate 5 Self Storage officially opened its doors in 2006. Currently, the property has 250 storage units, with another 25 units being added in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Family-owned and operated; Gate 5 Self Storage focuses on the core of southern values. Being a good neighbor, supporting the community, and helping people when they might be going through a hard time are the backbone values of this wonderful company. Loyalty and trust don’t stop with their customers, Max really displays this in every interaction, including what vendors he has used to support his business. After meeting Markus Hecker, Chief Client Advocate at Storable, Max decided right then that he would use Sitelink management software, which he credits to be the tool that makes the most difference in his business daily. He uses technology to support his customer’s needs and knows that his staff and website (online rentals platform) is able to offer the highest level of customer service possible.
